The Ministry of Justice of Indonesia did not find an area in Bali with an exclusively Russian diaspora
The Bali Wake News portal, citing a statement by the Indonesian Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, reports that the department could not find signs of the existence of a “little Moscow” on the resort island of Bali, which is an area with an exclusively Russian diaspora.
The publication cites the words of the head of the Bali office of the Ministry of Justice, Angiath Napitupulu, who said that, from the point of view of the ministry, there are no foreign villages in Bali, and only places that are included in the category of private territories with a predominance of certain communities. He clarified that the information about “little Moscow”, which was circulating in the news, was distorted due to misunderstandings, and the owners of the villas and hotels were originally Indonesians, and the tenants and guests were Russians.
Napitupulu added that the dacha community is indeed dominated by Russian citizens who rent rooms and villas there, but the authorities checked their documents to make sure everything was in order, and the locals, in turn, decided that the property belonged to the Russians and “panicked in vain “.
