The Indian army is practicing the use of birds of prey to counter enemy drones, writes Indian Defense News.
According to reports, the Indian military demonstrated the corresponding tactics during joint exercises with the United States. During the exercises, a scenario was played out in which the eagle was able to find and destroy the drone of a mock enemy.
The material says that such experiments in India are demonstrated publicly for the first time. In training, the Eagles reportedly shot down several hundred quadcopters during training, sometimes completely destroying them. However, not a single eagle was harmed.
