The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), which broadcasts live on its official website the lunar landing operation of the landing module of the Indian lunar station Chandrayaan-3, reported that the module reached a given point in the orbit of the Earth’s satellite and began descending to its surface.
It is expected that the descent of the apparatus, which should deliver a small lunar rover to the surface of the Moon, will continue for 20 minutes.
This expedition to study the moon has already become the third for India. India’s first lunar robotic station, Chandrayaan-1, was launched into lunar orbit in November 2008, and Chandrayaan-2, in turn, went to the Moon on July 22, 2019, and this mission included the landing of a descent module that crashed at hit. At the same time, the Chandrayan-2 station continues to work to this day.
