Yamal continues accepting applications for participation in the Arctic extreme race “Northern Character. Trail”. The competitions will be held in Kharp on August 26 and 27, the YNAO Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported.
The route will run through the territory of the Polar Urals up to Zheltaya Mountain. Athletes over 18 years old will be able to take part in an extreme race with natural obstacles at distances of 12 kilometers for the “Pro” category and six kilometers for “Amateurs”.
Yamal residents from 50 years old will pass the route of Nordic walking competitions. For the first time, within the framework of the race, participants will be able to complete the test of the VFSK “Ready for Labor and Defense” in the “Tourist campaign” standard.
Those who come to the finish line first will receive cash prizes. In the “Pro” category, the winning team will receive 90,000 rubles, the second result is estimated at 75,000 rubles, and the third-placed team will receive 60,000 rubles. The top three winners in the individual championship will also receive a reward: the winner – 18 thousand rubles, the silver medalist – 15 thousand rubles, the bronze medalist – 12 thousand rubles.
In the category “Amateurs” and in Nordic walking competitions, the winners and prize-winners will be awarded with cups, diplomas and medals of the corresponding degrees.
