Today, July 11, the air temperature in Yekaterinburg reached +40 degrees. In the Ural Hydrometeorological Center reportedthat this is a historical record. Prior to this, the absolute maximum temperature was +39.1 degrees, which was recorded on July 16, 2020.
Abnormally hot weather in the Sverdlovsk region persists for about a week. However, in the coming days, a cyclone will come to the region, after which a slight cooling will begin. The regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned that on July 12 and 13, very heavy rains, showers, thunderstorms, large hail and squally winds with gusts of up to 27 m/s are expected in the region.
According to the Hydrometeorological Center, on Friday the air temperature in the Middle Urals will be about +20 degrees, and in the south it may be warming up to +26 degrees.
