In Yekaterinburg, the concert of the Sansara group, which was supposed to take place on August 10 at the Yeltsin Center, was canceled. Frontman Sasha Gagarin notedthat there was no official ban on the event, but the exact reasons will be announced by the musicians later.
“I have no doubt that I had, have and still have reasons for a concert in my native Yekaterinburg. I dare to think that I know you more often than not – all those who listen, and most importantly, it seems to me, hear our songs, and therefore it was important for me to meet in my beloved city, ”the frontman emphasized. He added that the money for the tickets would be refunded.
Earlier, a number of public figures publicly opposed the holding of the Samsara concert at the Yeltsin Center. The head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, said that because of the planned speech, she received complaints from “many indignant citizens.” Dissatisfaction was associated with the fact that the musicians opposed the special military operation, and also left Russia. “I would like a very clear position from the state on this issue: can events be held for those people who spoke out against the special operation or left Russia, left our country in difficult times?” — noted Miss Mizulina.
Advisor to the Acting Head of the DPR Yan Gagin declaredthat the actions of the musical group should be “qualified as treason to the motherland.”
