In Yekaterinburg on Friday, August 11, the 100th anniversary of the Dynamo society will be celebrated and the Athlete’s Day will be held. The event will start at 10:00 at the stadium of the same name.
According to the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region, Valery Gorelykh, the head of the regional garrison of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General of Police Alexander Meshkov, will start the start of the celebration with a signal pistol. It is planned that among the guests will be the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev, 10-time world champion in biathlon Elena Golovina, medalist of the world championship in athletics Natalya Khrushcheleva, vice-champion of the Olympic Games in athletics Irina Khabarova and Olympic champion in boxing Yegor Mehontsev.
Within the framework of the holiday, competitions in mini-football, shooting from military weapons, chess, long jumps, kettlebell lifting, arm wrestling, and tug of war will be held. There will also be an athletics relay.
The audience will be entertained by a team of drummers and artists in uniform from the cultural center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region.
Colonel Gorelykh called on the citizens and guests of Yekaterinburg to attend the festive event, and at the same time to see the sports complex renovated after restoration.
