Books by the former mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman (introduced in the register of foreign agents) after being included in this register, they began to seal it in a special opaque paper and mark it with a corresponding plate. In this form, books are sold in the Museum of the Nevyansk Icon owned by Yevgeny Roizman.

As told Kommersant-Ural in the museum, the requirements for works created by foreign agents, in addition to special packaging and plates, also include the presence of the mark “With age restrictions”. Buyers now need to ask for a passport. Similar situation in December was in St. Petersburg, where books by authors-foreign agents began to be wrapped in film so that they could not be accidentally opened or leafed through.

Recall that in November the Russian government approved new labeling requirements for materials published by persons and organizations recognized by the Ministry of Justice as foreign agents. Now these persons must attach to their materials the following marking: “This material (information) (produced, distributed and (or) sent) by a foreign agent (name or full name) or concerns the activities of a foreign agent (name or full name).”

Evgeny Roizman became widely known in connection with the activities of the City Without Drugs Foundation. In 2013-2018, he was the head of Yekaterinburg – the chairman of the city duma. He created the private museum “Nevyansk Icon” and the City Museum of Naive Art. Now Evgeny Roizman is an defendant in a criminal case on discrediting the army (part 1 of article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and is under investigation.

Ministry of Justice introduced Evgeny Roizman to the register of individuals-foreign agents on November 25. Formerly foreign agents were recognized many Russian writers, in particular Dmitry Bykov, Mikhail Zygar and Dmitry Glukhovsky, whose books regularly hit the bestseller lists and are published in large numbers.

About the first fine of the court for insufficiently large letters of foreign agency marking – in the material “Kommersant” “The foreign agent did not come out in size”.
