In Yekaterinburg, a “special” fifth-grader beat up a ninth-grader who replaced the teacher

The story of an eleven-year-old with special needs who beat up a ninth-grader who was sent to look after the class shocked Yekaterinburg. The boy kicked the girl with all his foolishness, leaving her with huge bruises. Against the backdrop of a wild incident, the systemic problems of education emerge again and again. Shortage of staff, too much work on teachers, overcrowding in classrooms. And the ill-conceived system of inclusion in schools.

As the parents told MK, at school No. 92 on Rocket Street – the only one in the microdistrict, apart from a small school near Koltsovo Airport, troubles began a long time ago. It became especially hard after the fire that happened in February of this year. “And so our block is old, bursting at the seams from the number of students, there are 1520 of them,” Koltsovtsy report. – And then another part of the classes burned out. After the fire, the children began to study in two shifts.

Several parents immediately told that, they say, “everything is purple” to the director, because at the end of the school year he leaves the school. Now, probably, he will definitely leave, after the incident with the high school student Anfisa (name changed). After delving into the details of the story of the beating, we can draw the most banal conclusion – it’s a pity for everyone …

Here’s how this wild story happened. Between the May holidays, the teacher asked two 9th graders to look after the fifth graders. She simultaneously taught two lessons in different classes and did not cope. When the girls entered, the class was noisy, and one boy was the most rowdy. To try to somehow reason with him, he promised Anfisa to set fire to the apartment and demolish the girl’s “whole face.” Said, “May your mother die.” When Anfisa came up and took him by the shoulder to calm him down, the boy attacked. He kicked her lower body while she tried to block him with her hands. The fifth-grader was dragged away only by the guys from the 9th, who came running to the rescue.

“When I told the management about the attack, they told me:“ It’s my own fault, as if you don’t know that we have half of the school with certificates, ”Anfisa said.

The aggressive youngster is brought up in a large family with 6 children, and only by a dad who himself had trouble with the law in the past. Today, a man is trying, but he himself admits that he does not take out. The boy has already apologized to Anfisa. The parents of the beaten girl withdrew the statement from the police. The school is still bewildering: the administration held an operational meeting, but in general they considered that “the problem is too inflated.” Now the school will be checked by the Department of Education of Yekaterinburg. And the boy, most likely, will be registered with the PDN.

Since the beginning of the year, there have already been several episodes in schools, when children and even teachers suffered much more. For example, they were stabbed or beaten to fractures. Such incidents in 2023 occurred in Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Sochi, Samara, Angarsk, Khabarovsk, etc.

The public in social networks after the incident with Anfisa, as always, was divided. They feel sorry for the teachers: “It would be possible to cope with ordinary non-rumours, but here they are “special”. Someone defends the rights of all children to receive an equivalent education and sympathizes with their parents. There are those who look to the root and ask: if inclusion has already been introduced, where are the tutors?

– Parents amuse their ambitions and do not advertise the presence of developmental delays and mental retardation, – says, for his part, the class teacher and English teacher Yaroslav. – They are now given the right to pass or not to pass the commission. It is impossible to persuade them. They do not believe and do not want to accept the fact that the child is behind/special.

You show works where there is more red than blue. But parents blame teachers. In our class, such inclusive children do not allow other children to study normally, most of the lesson is spent on discipline. And yes, such children should study separately, in small groups with psychologists, at home, and a lot of work of parents is needed (unfortunately, many do not care).

– If a case had been opened on the fact of this beating, the blame would have fallen on the director and teacher, who sent the girls to the class, says lawyer Stanislav Popov. – The administration is responsible for everything that happens at the school and on the school grounds, both during school hours and outside of it.

The teacher had no legal right to send 16-year-old girls to “teach a lesson”. In practice, as we know, this has happened before, and is now being practiced. But the presence of a large number of inclusive children in school raises questions. By law, there cannot be more than three in each class. And the reaction of the management “itself is to blame” is certainly unlawful.

The girl is underage and suffered at school, during the educational process and through the fault of school employees. I really hope that the administration of this educational institution will bear disciplinary responsibility.
