Today, December 1, a message appeared on the telegram channel of the mayor of the city, Vadim Kstenin, about plans for a major overhaul of the building of the Yubileiny Sports Palace. Now young Voronezh hockey players are training at the sports center.
“Today is National Ice Hockey Day. Pupils of municipal sports schools in this sport achieve good results not only in Voronezh, but also at the level of the Central Federal District. And we, in turn, must develop training bases for them. Therefore, with the support of Governor Alexander Gusev, a major renovation of our Yubileiny Sports Palace is planned,” said Vadim Kstenin.
It is assumed that the design of the overhaul will be completed this year. Documentation is in state expertise. The overhaul provides for the renewal of the roof and facade of the building, the improvement of anti-terrorist protection systems, the replacement of electrics and the supply of modern technological equipment. It is planned to allocate 100 million rubles for the implementation of the project. Work will begin in 2023.
“As a result, we will seriously upgrade the infrastructure of our main ice rink so that young athletes can train in more comfortable conditions,” the head of the city commented.
