In Ulan-Ude again postponed the deadline for the completion of the Ice Palace

The commissioning of the long-awaited Ice Palace in Ulan-Ude is again postponed. The Minister of Sports and Youth Policy of Buryatia Ivan Kozyrev told the correspondent of “MK in Buryatia” about the new dates and reasons for the next shift.

Recall that the object was originally supposed to be handed over on December 20, 2022. However, due to the rise in the cost of building materials, which cost the federal budget 136 million rubles, the deadlines were shifted to September 2023. In August, that is, a month before the planned delivery, there were new reasons for lagging behind the schedule.

– Gosstroyzhilnadzor issued an order to suspend construction work on one of the four blocks. In particular, violations of building codes related to the pouring of columns on the first floor were revealed in the third block. It is necessary to strengthen them and make a design decision.

As the minister said, today a technical examination of all four units has been carried out. Three blocks are recognized as corresponding to the project documentation. For the problematic third block, the concessionaire has already developed design documentation for strengthening and in early August sent it for examination to obtain a conclusion on compliance.

– After passing the examination, the concessionaire is ready to resume work on strengthening the structures of the supporting block, eliminating the instructions of the State Construction and Housing Authority and other works. Work on the first, second and fourth blocks does not stop. People are working at the facility,” Ivan Kozyrev commented.

Earlier, with reference to Elena Sandakova, Head of the Department for the Development of Public-Private Partnership Mechanisms of the Ministry of Sports of Russia, MK in Buryatia informed about the visit to Ulan-Ude of the First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Azat Kadyrov. Sandakova said that his arrival is scheduled approximately at the end of August, one of the goals of the visit will be the construction of the Regional Hockey Center (Ice Palace).

– There are difficulties with the commissioning of the regional ice hockey center, – comments Elena Sandakova. – In many subjects, there were problems with the commissioning of sports facilities with a sharp rise in the cost of building materials.

She assured that the commissioning of the ice palace is under the control of the Russian Ministry of Sports. And following the results of the meeting in Ulan-Ude, a new deadline for putting the facility into operation will be announced.
