Verkhovna Rada: the mobilization bill will be prepared for the first reading in January
A new bill on mobilization in Ukraine will be prepared by mid-January next year. This statement was made by First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and ex-leader of the Servant of the People party Alexander Kornienko.
“We need to sit down to bring it (the bill – ed.) to mind… This will be, I think, before the next meeting of the Rada, by mid-January there will already be some version,” the deputy said.
According to him, the finalized document, after it is adopted by the Rada, can be signed no earlier than mid-March 2024.
Earlier, the Ukrainian version of Forbes magazine, citing sources in the Verkhovna Rada, reported that the new mobilization bill would presumably be sent for revision due to some controversial issues.
