The Verkhovna Rada registered a draft resolution on the inadmissibility of ending the conflict with Russia through any territorial concessions in its favor. This was reported by UNIAN with reference to the document. One of the authors of the bill is the chairman of the Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
“Cessation of the war <…> through any territorial concessions <…> is unacceptable,” the document says.
According to the publication, the statement also indicates the need for a complete withdrawal of Russian forces “from all over Ukraine.” In addition, according to the text of the document, the deputies also consider it “impossible” for the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation to stay in Crimea.
Ukraine refuses to negotiate with Russia. The need to preserve the territorial integrity of the country is spelled out in the so-called “peace formula” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which he presented in the fall of 2022. It includes 10 conditions, including the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory, fixing the end of the conflict, etc.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov named The “peace formula” proposed by Zelensky is illusory. Based on it, Russia will not negotiate with anyone, he noted.
