A bill on the release of prisoners upon signing a contract was registered in the Rada
Ukrainian prisoners can be released from prison on parole if they sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense for military service. Relevant bill published on the Verkhovna Rada website.
“Draft Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts of Ukraine regarding parole from serving a sentence for military service under a contract during a special period,” reads the title of the bill.
The document has already been registered in parliament.
The authors of the bill were the leader of the Servant of the People party, Elena Shulyak, and 13 of her fellow party members. The probability of document acceptance is assessed as high.
