Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian president’s office, criticized Fox News host Tucker Carlson in an interview with The Guardian for comparing Ukraine’s president Zelenskiy to a “strip club manager.”
Earlier, Carlson said the following: “The president of Ukraine arrived at the White House, dressed as the manager of a strip club, and began to demand money. Surprisingly, no one kicked him out. Instead, they did whatever he wanted. Zelensky, wearing a sweater, then demanded money in Congress and brazenly called for it to be considered not a charity, but an investment. But what’s the point? Do we have a historical debt to Ukraine? Do we have a historical enmity with non-Soviet Russia? No and no again. Do we really disrespect our country enough to applaud this?
“Such words of the host are “dirty things,” Yermak said, saying that the host “is not the voice of the Republican Party.” In Congress, Zelensky met with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell and House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy, a candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Tucker Carlson is a famous American TV presenter. From the very beginning of the war, he has been critical of the US aid to Ukraine. For this, he is often accused of being pro-Russian.
