In Ukraine, all monuments associated with Russia and the USSR will be demolished

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by its decision, “wholesale” excluded from the Register of Cultural Heritage all monuments to figures associated with the Ukrainian SSR-USSR and Russia. Thus, a huge amount
monuments remaining in the country after decommunization and “derussification” are subject to dismantling.
First of all, this concerns the last monument to Pushkin in Kyiv, the fate of which was closely monitored by Moskovsky Komsomolets this year.
The preliminary list of doomed objects that appeared online includes the following monuments:
1. Pushkin near the Kyiv Polytechnic University (Beresteysky Avenue of the capital
Ukraine, previously somewhat vandalized);
2. Monument to Shchors on Shevchenko Boulevard;
3. Vatutin in Mariinsky Park (grave, also attacked many times
“activists”);
4. Pushkin in Zhitomir;
5. Pushkin in Kharkov;
6. Pushkin in Odessa;
7. Prince Vorontsov in Odessa;
8. Suvorov in Izmail;
9. Admiral Ushakov in Kherson;
10. Memorial complex “Ukraine to the Liberators” in Uzhgorod.
“All these monuments, unfortunately, are doomed,” an MK interlocutor from Kyiv, who asked not to disclose his name, commented on the situation to our publication.
