The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in a publication on its official telegram channel, reported that employees of the SBU and the National Police in the Odessa region uncovered a scheme for transporting conscripts abroad in ambulances with flashing lights turned on.
It was established that for a payment of 5 thousand dollars, Ukrainian draft dodgers were taken to the border and left behind checkpoints. It is noted that ambulances were not stopped at checkpoints because they were driving with sirens and flashing lights on. According to the intelligence service, after crossing the Ukrainian border, the evaders were met by another participant in the scheme, who escorted the fugitive to the territory of another country.
As a result of operational actions, law enforcement officers were able to stop an ambulance in which there were two evaders. In addition, the SBU reported the arrest of the organizer of the criminal group.
