In Transbaikalia, the third defendant in the case of beating a member of the SVO surrendered to the police, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Transbaikalia.
It is reported that the accused himself appeared to law enforcement officers on Sunday morning, and investigative actions are currently being carried out against him. He was searched for the whole last week, two other defendants in the case were detained earlier. The Nerchinsko-Zavodskoy District Court of the Trans-Baikal Territory issued a decision to arrest the man in absentia.
“In the near future, the man will be handed over to the investigating authorities,” the message says.
All three are involved in a criminal case initiated under Part 2 of Art. 208.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for discrediting the Russian army, the maximum punishment is up to 15 years in prison. In addition, 2 more criminal cases are being conducted against these persons. Earlier it was reported that a member of the SVO was beaten in a cafe in the Trans-Baikal Territory. According to the telegram channel Mash, the conflict occurred because the attackers wanted to take the awards.
As a result of the attack, the victim’s health was slightly harmed. The amount of material damage, according to the investigation, amounted to more than 800 thousand rubles.
