On the night of August 9, the Ukrainian army made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the positions of Russian troops in the Orekhov region in the Zaporozhye region. This was announced by the Acting Governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky.
“Tonight, the enemy, consisting of four assault groups in 12 pickup trucks, made an attempt to attack our positions in the Orekhovo area. Of course, he was not successful, ”Balitsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
He noted that as a result of an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kyiv suffered significant losses. In addition, almost all military equipment involved in the attack was destroyed. According to him, the remaining groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to their positions.
