In the Pavlovsky district of the Voronezh region on June 24, during the passage of a column of PMC “Wagner”, a shootout occurred, houses were damaged, said the head of the district, Maxim Yantsov.

According to him, the incident occurred near the village of Elizavetovka. “19 households were damaged in the village. There is no threat to the integrity of houses or outbuildings,” – wrote Yantsov in his Telegram channel.

He said that the territory that had fallen into the shelling zone was being examined, people would be helped to repair the damage, and the damage caused would be compensated.

Against the backdrop of the situation around the Wagner PMC, a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the region on June 24. The imposed restrictions continue to apply, Yantsov wrote. Earlier today, Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev said that the movement of PMC units through the territory of the region ends and proceeds normally and without incident.

On the evening of June 23, in social networks associated with the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin, on his behalf, it was announced about a missile attack on one of the rear camps of a military company. The Ministry of Defense said that reports of strikes are not true and are “an informational provocation.” Then “Wagner” blockaded Rostov-on-Don and took control of the city’s military installations. The Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the organization of an armed rebellion against Prigozhin. Against the backdrop of the situation around PMC Wagner, the authorities of the Russian regions began to impose restrictions on movement and cancel mass events.
