Law enforcement officers in the Voronezh region detained a girl who poured brilliant green into a ballot box at a polling station, RIA Novosti reports, citing a representative of the GUMVD for the region.

As noted, the detainee is 19 years old, the incident occurred in the city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region. After the incident, voting using this ballot box was stopped.

Earlier it was reported that a bill would be prepared in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, according to which a serious deadline would be set for those who are trying to disrupt the elections by arson or other socially dangerous means. If the bill is adopted, the punishment for attempting to disrupt elections by arson or other socially dangerous means will be up to 8 years in prison.

Earlier it was reported about provocations at polling stations in Moscow, Rostov, Izhevsk and some other cities.

The head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, previously announced eight attempts at arson at polling stations during voting in the Russian presidential elections. According to her, instructions to the arsonists came from the territory of Ukraine and European countries.
