Classes at the Skif Arena will be free

On March 24, a new sports facility, the Skiff Arena Ice Palace, was solemnly opened in the Altai Territory. Here, children will play hockey for free, and in the future, figure skating. The building initiative belongs to Altai businessman Vladimir Popovhe became the ideological inspirer, organizer and investor of the project.

The opening ceremony was attended by employees of the palace, future pupils, as well as representatives of the regional administration, AKZS, public organizations, eminent athletes and journalists. The Ice Palace was built in accordance with all the requirements for sports facilities: there is a medical office equipped with the latest technology, comfortable coaching rooms, spacious locker rooms with showers, a dressing room, and a food area. And the main thing, of course, is a hockey rink and spacious stands for 250 spectators. Warm-up rooms will soon be equipped. “Our children deserve to train in the best conditions,” the investor is convinced.

Particular attention is paid to the safety and health of children. The technical capabilities of the medical office allow for counseling, dynamic monitoring of athletes, a comprehensive study of the functional state of the body, ECG recording and the provision of emergency and emergency medical care, medical rehabilitation of athletes.

People from Pavlovsk, Komsomolsky, Silikatny, Cheremny, Stukovo, Industrial District of Barnaul can easily come to classes at the ice palace. Of course, the reception of children is not limited to these territories – they plan to take everyone here. But already now, according to parental applications, it is clear that at least half of those who want to study here are from Barnaul, so the leadership of the palace turned to the mayor’s office with a request to extend the route of bus No. 20 from Novye Zorya to Skif Arena.

At the moment, the palace is ready to accept about 180-200 children aged 4 to 10 years, in the future the number of pupils can be increased to four hundred. The first young athletes have already come out for years on the day of the grand opening of the Skif Arena. Outfitted in brand uniforms, to a specially written hockey anthem, in the rays of a laser show, they greeted the guests in the stands. Trainings and parent-teacher meetings are planned in a couple of weeks, but today the trainers and the palace administration are actively communicating with parents in person and in social networksanswer questions.

“Skif Arena” is not only an example of the implementation of high standards for sports facilities, it is also a significant contribution to solving the main problem of the Altai hockey players – ice shortage. Ice quality will be monitored with the help of a modern ENGO ice resurfacer. This is an environmentally friendly car that does not produce any emissions, has incredible precision and jewelry in pouring and cutting ice.

The purchase of uniforms, equipment, payment for the work of coaches, sports trips – all these expenses (plus the maintenance of the building) are borne by the investor. The amount will be more than 70 million rubles annually. The construction of the facility cost 400 million rubles.

The palace has just opened its doors, but the coaches are already setting themselves many tasks and ambitious goals. “I would like to organize such a school so that we have all age levels, so that we participate in all stages of all championships – both at the level of Siberia and in Russia. After some time, we will be able to show decent results, but this requires a lot of work. If everything goes well, in the future we will talk about the youth hockey league team, ”shared his plans head coach Evgeny Syrtsev.
