The US Space Agency (NASA) on Twitter announced the abandonment of new attempts to launch a super-heavy rocket to the moon before the closing of the current launch window, that is, until September 6th.
Earlier, NASA canceled the launch of the SLS launch vehicle with the Orion spacecraft due to a leak of liquid oxygen during refueling of fuel tanks. The launch was planned as part of the Artemis-1 mission, which provides for a return to manned flights to the moon.
Reportedly, the rocket may have to be removed from the launch pad and moved to a vertical assembly building at the Cape Canaveral launch site. This will mean that the launch will not take place before October.
The Americans have 4 launch windows to launch the rocket, the next launches are possible from September 19 to October 4.
