The authorities of the Sverdlovsk region appealed to law enforcement agencies with a request to bring to justice the organizers of the motor rally in support of Wagner PMC in Yekaterinburg.
“Holding an action without approval is a violation of the current legislation, about which the Ministry of Public Security notified the applicant,” Kommersant was told at the Ministry of Public Security of the Sverdlovsk Region.
The rally took place on the morning of Sunday, May 28, from the city shopping center “Karnaval” to the “cemetery in honor of” PMC Wagner “” in Berezovsky. Local media reported that about 100 cars were participating in the race due to different regions.
A few days before the event, the Sverdlovsk authorities announced their refusal to coordinate the rally. In the MOB, the refusal was explained by the fact that the notice of the rally from the organizers should have been received by the department at least 11 days before the event. However, the request was received by the ministry only on May 25. In addition, the basic alert regime introduced by President Vladimir Putin last October continues to operate in the Sverdlovsk Region, which imposes restrictions on holding public events.
