In the suburbs, public figures urged the governor to ban the concert of Angelica Varum

The public movement “Grandchildren” appealed to the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov with a request to cancel the concert of the singer Anzhelika Varum in the region due to the fact that the performer criticized the military operation in Ukraine. Mrs. Varum’s performance should take place in Krasnogorsk at the Crocus City Hall on April 29th.
“The Vnuki movement considers it unacceptable and immoral to allow Varum and similar artists to carry out commercial activities on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the appeal sent to Mr. Vorobyov says (quote from the publication “Paragraph”).
According to public figures, Anzhelika Varum supports the “Kiev regime” and permanently resides abroad, and conducts her concert activity to earn money exclusively in Russia. The Vnuki movement also recalled that in 2022, Mrs. Varum publicly opposed the decision to launch a Russian military operation in Ukraine.
The authorities of the Moscow region have not yet responded to the appeal of the activists, currently tickets for the concert of Mrs. Varum are on open sale on the websites of ticket operators.
