According to the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies (VNII GOChS), in the coming days, incidents with various ships are expected in the waters of the Okhotsk and Bering Seas due to severe stormy weather, with wave heights reaching up to 8.5 meters.

According to the VNII GOChS warning, from August 30 to September 3, stormy weather is expected in the Sea of ​​​​Okhotsk and the Tatar Strait with a wave height of up to six meters. In the period from September 2 to 4, even stronger waves are expected in the Bering Sea, reaching a height of up to 8.5 meters.

It was previously reported that a new cyclone will bring showers, strong winds and high waves in Primorye. Forecasters warn of possible precipitation of up to 140 mm in the coming days.
