The authorities of the Saratov region canceled the decision to call up 59-year-old senior lieutenant Alexander Ermolaev from the village of Nikolaevka, Volsky district, as part of the partial mobilization. He was called, although he does not meet the selection criteria. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the governor.

“The military commissariat conducted a check on this fact. It was revealed that the citizen does not meet the selection criteria for partial mobilization. In this regard, the decision to call up was canceled,” the interlocutor said. “RIA News” from the press office.

At the same time, he is 59 years old, he has no experience of participating in hostilities. The last time he was at a three-month training camp was 40 years ago. Mr. Ermolaev received the title of senior lieutenant after the military department at the university. At the time of Oksana Karpova’s appeal, Alexander Ermolaev was at the collection point for those mobilized at the base of the local military school.

Mobilization in Russia was announced on 21 September. According to the Ministry of Defense, 300 thousand men with combined arms specialties are going to be called up: shooters, artillerymen, tankers, mechanics, mechanic drivers. Men with the military ranks of privates and sergeants under the age of 35 are called to the mobilization service, junior officers – up to 50 years old, senior officers – up to 55 years old.
