After the start of partial mobilization in the Sakhalin region, the number of regional officials decreased. This was reported in the regional Ministry of Public Administration to the local news agency. “Sahkom”.
In total, from September 21 to October 20, 17 people left the government and other executive bodies of the Sakhalin Region. As of September 21, there were 1423 regional officials, by October 20 there were already 1412.
Among the officials who left their post, there are three high-ranking officials: the head of the Ministry of Property and Land Relations Svetlana Nalbatova, Energy Minister Mikhail Guzenko and Deputy Governor for Information Policy Alexei Vasiliev. The most notable was the dismissal of the well-known political strategist Mr. Vasiliev, who came to the region from Primorye and held his post for about a year.
The reasons for the dismissal are not officially called. On the sidelines, it is discussed that the majority of those who quit are men who do not have the opportunity to make a reservation. This trend can also be seen at the enterprises of the Sakhalin Region – many men quit, go on vacation (including at their own expense) or work remotely.
