Children’s Ombudsman of the Sverdlovsk Region: a ban on the use of telephones should also be introduced for teachers
The Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Sverdlovsk Region, Igor Morokov, believes that it is necessary to introduce a ban on the use of telephones in schools for teachers.
The regional children’s ombudsman stated that all participants in educational relations should be in the same conditions. “If children are prohibited, then the teacher should not have a telephone either,” said Morokov. “And he shouldn’t work in the system while the lesson is going on.” In this case, in his opinion, everyone will be in the same conditions. “It interferes with the educational process,” he added.
It is necessary, according to the children’s ombudsman, to remove one of the conditions that prevents concentration and interaction with participants in the educational process.
