The Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation has developed a draft government decree that will provide an opportunity for participants in a special military operation to switch from paid education to a budget department.
The document provides for the redistribution of vacant state-funded places at universities, which are funded from the federal budget, regional budgets and local budgets.
The basis for the transition to free education will be the student’s application and a document confirming the status of a participant in the special operation. They will be considered by a special commission.
Earlier it was reported that a new quota was provided for future students of Kazan universities – on special conditions in educational institutions children of participants of the special operation will be able to enter. For them, universities have allocated 1.3 thousand places, Aliya Zagidullina, chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of Kazan, said at a meeting in the city executive committee. Applicants from the Belgorod region will also be able to become students of Kazan universities, having passed only an interview.
In the technical schools and colleges of the Angara region, an additional benefit was introduced for students from among the children of the participants in the special operation. Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev signed a decree on order providing free meals minor children of the participants of the special operation, who are studying in colleges and technical schools of the region on a full-time basis.
