In the Perm Territory, the police conducted an inspection at the MAOU “Sylvenskaya Secondary School. V. Kamensky ”because of the information about the insult of the student. On the eve of March 1, the SOTA Telegram channel published videoin which the school teacher Svetlana Fedurina, in a conversation with an 8th grade student, accuses him of “patriotism undeveloped since childhood” and calls him a “traitor and bastard” for being late for a performance dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region clarified for Kommersant that the incident was reported to law enforcement agencies on February 22, after which verification activities began immediately. Based on the results of the check, the materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office of the Perm region.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Perm Territory reported to Kommersant that the teacher was suspended from work at the school for the duration of the audit, and then decided to resign of her own free will. “Certainly, such behavior of a teacher is unacceptable. Of course, the activity of a teacher is emotionally intense, but it is always necessary to observe professional ethics. The regional Ministry of Education and Science takes personal control of the current situation. The teacher has already made a public apology to the student,” the regional ministry commented on the situation.
