The operational headquarters for ensuring basic readiness of the Perm Territory approved a protocol according to which, from December 1, 2022, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is prohibited in the region. Reportedly in the Telegram channel Ministry of Territorial Security of the region, from this date, the authorized bodies suspend the issuance of permits for flights over the territories of settlements and the use of the airspace of the Kama region. “This was done in order to ensure the safety of infrastructure, industrial and strategic facilities,” the ministry explained.
Exceptions for flights are provided for organizations operating water supply and sanitation facilities, the fuel and energy complex of the region, as well as authorities and local governments and organizations working under an agreement with them.
Previously, a ban on the use of UAVs was introduced in the Saratov and Nizhny Novgorod regions, on the territory of which, as in the Perm Territory, there is a basic alert regime, as well as in the Tula and Ryazan regions, where a high alert regime has been introduced. In accordance with Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 757 of October 19, which introduced various degrees of readiness regime in the Russian regions, the authorities of the constituent entities must ensure the strengthening of the protection of military, important state and special facilities, as well as facilities that ensure the livelihoods of the population.
