The Ministry of Health of the Penza Region today, July 16, reported69 people were identified with suspicion of measles, including 61 children.
According to the ministry, there are now 67 confirmed cases of measles in the region. There are 23 people in the hospital and 18 outpatients. 28 people have recovered, according to the report.
In the village of Srednyaya Yeluzan, the measles quarantine announced on July 30 is being maintained.
133 “contact” people, 26 families in total, remain under observation. On July 13, officials reported 68 cases of suspected measles. In addition to Yeluzani, the disease was found in Kuznetsk, Neverkino, Shemysheyka and Penza.
