In the Oryol region, more than 2 thousand people took part in the “Russian Ski Track 2024”

Yesterday, February 10, the 42nd All-Russian mass ski race “Ski Track of Russia-2024” took place in the Medvedevsky Forest in the city of Orel. The event brought together about 2,200 participants, among whom 600 people took the start of the main race, and another 1,500 people joined the race in various municipalities of the region.
According to information from the regional government, among the guests of honor at the opening ceremony of the race were the First Deputy Governor of the Oryol Region Vladimir Ivanovsky, acting. Member of the Regional Government Alexey Berestov, Head of the Ski Racing Federation Viktor Samoilov, Director of Sports School No. 10 Alexander Osipov, as well as Chief Bailiff of the Oryol Region Mikhail Smirnov.
Race participants covered distances from 1 to 5 km. For the comfort of the participants, photo zones were organized. In addition, they were offered hot porridge and tea. The first 15 finishers received hats with the symbols of “Russian Ski Tracks” as a gift, which was a pleasant addition to their sporting achievement.
Particular attention is paid to family participation in the race. As part of the “All the Family” project, the most athletic families in the city competed at a distance of 1 km. The winners of this category of participants were determined separately among families with boys and girls, and everyone was required to finish together.
Such events help to popularize a healthy lifestyle, sports and unite the urban community through active pastime.
