Russian developers have created a special camouflage cape that provides protection from enemy thermal imaging reconnaissance equipment. Testing, including in the North-West region, is planned to be completed in January.
A video of the testing has appeared online. Using a thermal imager, night photography is carried out in the forest from a distance of approximately 20-30 meters. At the same time, the silhouette of the fighter, who is in ordinary equipment, is clearly visible. There is no one nearby, but at some point the fighter standing next to him unzips his camouflage cape and immediately becomes visible through the thermal imager.
According to the developer, entirely Russian technology is used. The fabric of the “invisibility cloak” is coated with a certain composition. It shields thermal radiation. The camouflage suit will reliably protect Russian military personnel from enemy thermal imaging reconnaissance equipment. The weight of the raincoat is 350 grams. It fits easily in your pocket.
