How informs the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, a section of the Ust-Kut-Uoyan highway was flooded, the village of Nizhnemartynovo and the village of Kutima were cut off from communication. There are no flooded residential buildings in them, only eight household plots suffered from water.
“The level of the Kirenga River is rising. As of 16:00 local time (11:00 Moscow time) in the village of Kazachinsky, the water level is 234 cm at a critical level of 250 cm, in Ulkan – 395 cm at a critical level of 430 cm. can reach the level of 270 cm, it is possible for water to enter lower areas of the terrain, ”the message says.
An operational group of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Irkutsk region was sent to the Kazachinsko-Lensky district. The forces and means of the Northern search and rescue squad of the regional fire and rescue service were redeployed to the area from the city of Kirensk. Additional temporary gauging posts have been set up in the settlements of the flooded area. Regional authorities urged the local population to refrain from traveling towards Severobaikalsk.
