As MK learned, a curious incident occurred in the Ruza urban district. The police received information that the head of the Tuchkovsky cemetery was selling places in the graveyard to everyone. The cost of the “service” fluctuated around 50 thousand rubles. The operatives decided that the easiest way was to catch the bribe-taker red-handed. An entire performance was staged for this purpose. One of the detectives came to the manager for an appointment and pretended to be heartbroken – supposedly his brother had died. The funeral service worker treated the visitor with understanding, explaining that he himself had recently lost two brothers. The saddened client asked to be shown where the deceased could be buried. He himself chose the best place near the entrance to the cemetery, but the manager immediately explained that the plot for the grave would cost 50 thousand rubles, and the burial procedure would cost 14.8 thousand. In addition, the man explained that he did not want to bother with paperwork at the MFC, and the official offered to take on all the troubles for 5,000 rubles. By the way, the “brother’s” death certificate looked real. In fact, no one died for the client, but since the director of the cemetery wanted to receive a reward after the procedure, he had to play the show to the end. A sandbag and a concrete block were placed in the coffin. On the appointed morning, a “funeral” procession of 20 people arrived at the cemetery. The workers carried the coffin to the grave, the sad “relatives” said warm words about the “dead man”, after which the burial took place. They did not open the coffin lid under a plausible pretext. True, the manager was a little surprised that they didn’t put a sign on the hill, but the relatives of the “deceased” said that they would take care of it later.

As soon as the “brother” of the deceased entered the funeral supplies store and handed over the required amount to the manager, the ceremony participants instantly turned into operatives. The fact of the bribe was documented. The bribe-taker swore that he was going to spend all the money on improving the cemetery, but this did not save him from punishment. However, the Ruza court considered that in this case a fine of 200 thousand rubles could be limited.
