Currently, more than 1,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) are being held captive on the territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). This was announced by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the LPR Victoria Serdyukova.
Earlier it became known that today another exchange of prisoners took place between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. They changed 107 Ukrainian servicemen for 107 servicemen of the Russian army, the People’s Militia of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
As the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin noted, 65 of the released prisoners of war are residents of the DPR and LPR who fought as part of the People’s Militia units.
