A tiger with sore paws from Primorye was taken to a hospice in the Leningrad region
In Primorye, they will treat a tiger that regularly killed dogs in the villages of the region, but had problems with its paws, RIA Novosti reports.
The tiger was caught in December last year in the Primorsky Territory; it walked around villages and attacked dogs; it was not possible to drive it away. It was later determined that the tiger had serious problems with its paws as a result of a bullet wound, and it may not survive in the wild. Based on the results of the examination, it was established that there was a severe inflammatory process in his body.
Later, it was decided to take him to the Tiger House hospice; they transported him by plane and by car. The tiger endured the journey well, and is currently adapting to new conditions.
The Amur tiger is one of the rarest predators on the planet and is listed in the International Red Book. Currently, about 750 Amur tigers live in Russia.
