In the Kursk region, from December 12, the sale and launch of fireworks will be prohibited, such a measure will be valid until the end of January due to the need to ensure the safety of people, Governor of the region Roman Starovoit said on his Telegram channel.
“We decided to ban the sale and launch of fireworks in the Kursk region from December 12 until the end of January. This is due to the need to ensure the safety and tranquility of the people of Kursk,” wrote head of the region.
Starovoit recalled that the “yellow” terrorist threat remains in the Kursk region. He noted that in connection with the ban, he is counting on the understanding of residents and a responsible attitude to safety, and promised to take “all necessary measures to implement the established ban.”
On December 6, in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, the high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger was extended until December 21. How informed Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov also extended the decree banning the launch of firecrackers, fireworks and salutes for two weeks.
At the end of October Starovoit informed about the completion of the construction of two lines of defense in the region, and this week the authorities of the region spoke about the continuation of strengthening the border of the Kursk region with Ukraine. Since October 19, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, eight border regions, including Crimea, the Belgorod and Kursk regions, have been subject to a “medium response” regime. Martial law has been introduced in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
