The Ukrainian military is trying to force the Dnieper and suffer heavy losses, the Russian army repels all attacks. This statement was made by the acting head of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.

“Our military completely controls the water area of ​​the river, including its delta cut by channels, as well as the Dnieper-Bug estuary. We repel all enemy landings that are trying to cross and land on the left bank of the Dnieper with heavy losses for the enemy, and more often we completely destroy both the militants and their equipment, ”he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).

On the eve, February 1, on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24” Balance informedthat the Russian military had completed the construction of fortifications on the Dnieper. He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to cross the river with “small forces”, all attempts are suppressed by the Russian military.

Saldo called the Ukrainian commanders who send the military on such missions criminals, noting that they send military personnel “to certain death.” He added that NATO and the United States are behind the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which “lead the military operations.”

The Ukrainian military regularly try to cross the Dnieper. So, on January 25, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about an enemy attempt to land on the left bank of the Dnieper, the attack of saboteurs was stopped.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. On November 11, the Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the withdrawal of troops from the city. Residents of Kherson were also evacuated to the left bank of the Dnieper.
