The head of the Verkhnebureinsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory, Alexei Maslov, said that residents of Shakhtinsk were being evacuated due to the fall of the rocket stages after the launch of the Luna-25 station.
He specified that local residents would be evacuated on the morning of August 11. Recently, a headquarters was held to prepare a working plan of action for the passage of “Luna-25” over the territory of the region.
“Entry into the fall zone of the first stage of the launch vehicle is prohibited. Residents of Shakhtinsk will be evacuated on August 11 at 7.30 am,” Maslov said.
According to him, “Luna-25” is the first polar research station in the vicinity of the South Pole of the Moon.
