As reported in the press service of the regional government, in the Khabarovsk Territory in 2022, as part of the presidential program “Swimming for All”, 8.5 thousand children learned to swim. The events are implemented in accordance with the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”.
Control starts for those who studied under the program were held in the swimming pool of the Orekhovaya Sopka sports and recreation complex. Children aged 7 to 9 attended free training for three months. They showed excellent results.
According to the regional Ministry of Sports, the program is gaining popularity. Thanks to her, they intend to popularize swimming and a healthy lifestyle in the region. In 2022, five instructors were additionally employed in the Amur, Verkhnebureinsky, Vaninsky, Komsomolsky and Nikolaevsky districts.
55 children with disabilities learned to swim in the region at the expense of the Unified Swimming project funded by a grant from the Special Olympics of Russia.
