Houses on almost 50 streets in four settlements of the Irkutsk region were left without power supply, the press service of the Irkutsk Electric Grid Company (IESK) reported. Among the affected settlements are the villages of Granovshchina, Shiryaeva and the villages of Urik and Khomutovo. Today, December 10, according to weather forecasters, the temperature in the Irkutsk region will drop below –30°C.
The Irkutsk city administration reports that a power outage occurred in houses on eight streets of Irkutsk. “Currently, a power outage has been registered in the Right Bank District: Slavnaya, Rozhdestvenskaya, Pravoberezhnaya streets, Sirenevy Lane, as well as on Yeniseiskaya, Severnaya, 2nd Polevaya streets, Krotova Ave. Restoration work is being carried out by the Southern Electric Networks of OJSC Irkutsk Electric Grid Company,” says the message.
From December 8 to 15 in the Irkutsk region introduced high alert mode due to severe frosts. According to forecasters, there will be severe frosts in the region over the next week with minimum air temperatures down to -45°C.
