According to the results of the first half of the year, the number of vacancies in various sectors of the Russian industry increased by 1.5 times, experts of the job search service SuperJob calculated. The highest demand is for skilled workers and engineering and technical staff.
According to the SuperJob study, excerpts from which RIA Novosti cites, in the first six months of this year, the highest growth rates in demand for personnel were recorded in the industrial sector. Enterprises are interested in highly skilled workers, in particular locksmiths, machine operators and assemblers. Engineering and technical workers are also in demand: technologists, designers, adjusters.
According to SuperJob, the number of vacancies in construction increased by 39% in the first half of the year. A seasonal increase in vacancies is also observed in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business. Their number increased by 46%. The highest demand is for cooks of various specializations, kitchen workers and waiters.
FinExpertiza based on Rosstat data calculatedthat in the first quarter of 2023, Russians worked an average of 38 hours and 30 minutes a week. This is the highest since at least 2010. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov suggestedthat the shortage of personnel, including in the manufacturing industry, could lead to an increase in the average length of the working week.
