In the Far East, three volcanoes have received an “orange” level, which means they are dangerous for aviation flights due to activation, the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies (VNII GOChS) said.
The statement of the department notes the intensification of volcanic activity in the Far East. “Three volcanoes have been assigned an orange level of aviation danger,” the report says.
Taking into account the above, recommendations were sent to the leadership of the Kamchatka Territory and the Sakhalin Region, which provide for ensuring the safety of aircraft flights, warning local residents and tourists about the high risks of ash fall.
