In the Czech Republic, a man was sentenced to criminal liability, who was seen with the symbols of the Russian private military company Wagner and the letter Z on his backpack during an anti-government demonstration on Wenceslas Square.
According to ČTK, the Prague District Court found him guilty of approving the genocide and sentenced him to six months probation, with a two-year suspension of execution. He was also fined 12,000 crowns and banned from Prague for a year.
Photos of the demonstration taken on March 11 show the man wearing the letter Z, which is widely used by the Russian army in Ukraine, on his backpack, as well as the logo of the Russian PMC Wagner on his sleeve.
After this action, the police launched seven criminal proceedings, two of which were related to speeches at a rally, two more – with suspicion of assaulting an official, and three – with attacks on cars with Ukrainian numbers that were passing by.
