The municipal stage of the White Rook chess tournament has ended in the Kalmyk capital.
Teams from eight schools in the city took part in it. They competed from March 12 to 15 in a round-robin format. In the individual competition, the winners and runners-up were determined on four boards.
In the team competition, students from school No. 23 Elista took first place. Chess players from Elista Multidisciplinary and Kalmyk National Gymnasiums won silver and bronze. All of them will take part in the republican stage of the tournament, which will take place from March 29 to April 2.
