The 10-year-old boy Fyodor, who saved two junior high school students during an attack by saboteurs in the Bryansk region, was discharged from the hospital.

At the exit from the medical facility, the boy and his mother were met by schoolchildren who were chanting: “Fyodor, you are our hero!” “We feel good, thank you,” Fedi’s mother said. The family went home, accompanied by the head of the region Alexander Bogomaz.

In early March, a sabotage and reconnaissance group penetrated from Ukraine into the territory of the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk region. The attackers fired at at least two cars that met on the way, killing the drivers. Fedor and two other girls were in one of the cars – they were all on their way to school. Feda, who received a gunshot wound, managed to get out first and save the girls.

The boy was taken to the children’s regional hospital. Doctors during the operation, which lasted four hours, removed the bullet that had entered the pleural cavity.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin awarded Fedor with the departmental medal “Valour and Courage”.
