The Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the village of Stary Khutor, Valuysky urban district in the Belgorod region. About it informed Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.
“The village of Stary Khutor, Valuysky urban district, came under shelling. None of the residents were hurt. Shell fragments smashed windows in 5 private households, slashed fences and entrance doors,” the statement said.
Gladkov also noted that the power line was damaged as a result of the shelling. According to him, two streets were left without electricity. Emergency teams are already working on the consequences of the shelling, he stressed.
On the eve, January 10, under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit city of Shebekino. As a result, six people were injured, one of them was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat has now been introduced in the Belgorod region. In April 2022, six of the seven border regions introduced it. Since then, it has been extended several times. In particular, in the Belgorod region it is valid until January 20, the last time it was extended on January 5.
In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been operating in the region, which, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been extended to eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of them were shelled by Ukraine).
